For those who want to take the moral high road

The word translated "rebuke" is elegcho, which, unlike epiplesso both has an investigative and an adjudicative sense. This is in keeping with the formality of the handling of the accusation indicated in point two above. Elegcho means both "to call to account and demand an explanation" and also "to convict and refute if found culpable, and thus put to shame."

On January 15, 2018, Mason and Tolson summons me to a meeting at the Brandywine Church... auh yea, really?

Before this date there have been MANY documented attempts since May of 2017 to meet with Elder George Lofland, and then with him and Elder Butler. for which Elder George Lofland has refused. There are several tapes where Elder George Lofland has spoken a Multitude of mistruths and made misleading statements. If ones finds this behavior to be familiar overtime... it is our considered humble opinion that this is actually ones character.

The governing principles when an elder who is clearly in doctrinal error is unrepentant, and the church and its elders are complicit in the error by refusing to deal with it? In other words, what if the church refuses to do its duty before God according to 1Timothy 5:19-20? Scripture gives us the answer.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:6-11).

The word translated "fellowship" in verse eleven is sugkoinoneo, meaning "to partake together." The word translated "darkness" in verse eleven is skotos, which in context speaks of spiritual darkness. The word that is translated "expose" at the end of verse eleven is elegcho - the same word translated "rebuke" in 1 Timothy 5:20. Any church member who remains true to the Word has a duty "to call to account and demand an explanation" of those who persist in doctrinal error, when the church fails in its duty according to 1 Timothy 5:19-20, and they are also "to convict and refute if found culpable, and thus put to shame" those who remain in their sin.

Not the Easy Thing, But the Right Thing

Christianity and Neo-Liberalism and a Denomination in Denial.

Matthew 23:13 King James Version

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

(Mat 23:13) But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. (23) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. (24) Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. (25) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. (26) Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. (27) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. (28) Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
