To keep church leadership godly, leaders must be disciplined properly and not just because they are family this is a conflict of interest.

DON’T BE A PHARISEE

But don’t be a Pharisee,

DON’T BE A JUDAS

There is another “church leader” we can learn from: Judas.

DON’T BE A SAUL

Finally, we can learn from King Saul. Don’t be a Saul.

Why is it that ones live in a culture that believes there are no moral absolutes and that tolerance is the chief virtue. The church has been tainted by this, as seen when Christians see another believer doing something clearly against God’s Word, but ones rationalizes, “Well, it wouldn’t be right for me to do that, but maybe it’s okay for him.” Wait on GOD!

It’s important to distinguish the difference, though, between having our strength renewed and getting everything we want (our goals, desires or everything we ask for in prayer).  When we wait upon the Lord, we’re trusting God to tell us what our goals are.  We’re allowing him to take charge of our lives.  We’re trusting that what he has planned for our life is far better than anything we could have ever imagined.   When we do this, God provides all that we need, exactly when we need it.  We can find our strength in him.

“Biblically, waiting is not just something we have to do until we get what we want. Waiting is part of the process of becoming what God wants us to be.” – John Ortberg

With God waiting,,, it's about YOUR renewal, not someone else!
