Exodus 22:22-24
22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. 23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; 24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be
widows, and your children fatherless.
You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.
1 Timothy 5:3
Honour widows that are widows indeed.
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Jesus loves His church so much He’d die for it and we forget that and think it belongs to us, the body. AFCJCL Sin divides. Bottom line. My sin. Your sin. The church is full of sinners who need the redeeming blood of Jesus.
People are so disappointing, aren’t they? One doesn’t have to be around church very long to discover that people let you down. The reason there are no perfect people. Add a sinner to a room full of sinners and it is hardly surprising that we encounter sin. Welcome yet another failure into a church full of failures and it is little wonder that people will let you down. Given that the church is the sum of its people, it should be no surprise that the church itself will disappoint ones too.
All too often we get upset with ones in the church for calling us out on our sin, presuming the way we ought to be loving is to simply affirm us in our life-choices. That is an unreasonable expectation of a church that has once been committed to helping you grow in Christ. Pastors (according to Acts 20, 1 Peter 5, John 22, 2 Timothy 3 and 4, and many other passages).
The first and primary role of a Pastor is to feed the flock. This entails spending a great deal of time alone with God in prayer and study, digging into God’s truth and consistently teaching the congregation, over the long haul, the whole counsel of God. Much of our counseling can’t be done one-on-one, but it can be done as we address a range of biblical topics from the pulpit. The Pastor is the primary guardian of the flock assigned to protect the body from doctrinal error. The gospel, which is the very core and foundation of who the church is to be, is threatened daily from all sides. The Pastor’s first role is to make the gospel clear repeatedly.
The second role of a Pastor is to lead the flock. That is, he’s the chief visionary for the local church. Impeding his work with red tape is unacceptable. If he has the gospel right and lives by the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3, let him lead. He’s a shepherd. He’s fully capable of hearing direction from God and moving the flock forward. Your Pastor never has permission to manipulate you or spiritually abuse you. The word “authority” doesn’t really fit as much as the word “influence” does. Cults begin with an undue emphasis on the leader’s “authority” over the flock while thriving churches live under the leader’s freedom to influence. Especially, when a board of untrustee's control church membership in violation of the Church Charter.
Deacon Gray... Lived & Lead by Example
Elder Lofland has not called Mother Gray since May of 2017, documented phone records.
And, the Hawkins, Pastor is no better, no respect what so ever and has never came to serve communion, or call or she's the National Mother? Mother Gray asked me to return the award Plaque when actions do not match. Couldn't have her attend?
Mother Simmons treats her mother like the plague, in the last year maybe a once a week visit for an hour when they are the ones that talked her into retiring with MANY MANY broken Promises. Teach Godly forgiveness, yet does not apply to her mother. She does NOTHING to do with her mothers daily care what so ever, caring on with there daily lives as if her mother does not exist, knowing whether she dead or alive.
Mother Simmons has not called or seen her mother since August 17, 2021, after I have informed them her health has declined.
Her Bishop Grandson has not seen his Grandmother since February!
Chauncey and Rose Simmons don't even attempt to have contact with their Grandmother! She has a Great Great Grand that she has never seen, (Chauncey Grand Child).
Sis Pam use to call then I called needing to know how much money was in Mom B-Day cards being her Granddaughter stole from her Grandmother Mother Gray and she told me Tish would never do that when it's on Camera! Has an attitude with me? Again, my fault!
I know I been told...
I'm the reason for being so mean, which is laughable... I am a realist! With religious Sunday going Church Folks... so lets not forget the lying, hypocrite part.
