​The increasing prominence of environmental professionals, as accomplices not allies, trickle-down engagement, in our place-based community movement shifting and hindering the success by pimping our Environmental Justice (Ej) struggles for there self-serving gain wrangling place-based community own self-determination out of the hands of communities of color and low-income collectively.

 

Many taking the lead failing to be in a supportive role because they know best over communities self determination who principally seek the help of these NGO's, legal and scientific community whom fail to realize the community residents are the "experts", and others serve as a resource in a supportive role as advisers for specific and limited components of a community-based and controlled organizing strategy.

Not all participants are working in an Environmental Justice community are place-based oriented (period) in the movement and must serve the best interests as an equal asset to the community-based residents as defined by their own self-determination.
